I won't put too many CR pictures up here but here are a couple of tasters to be going on with.
The lack of blogging and updates of late has been due to a three week trip to Costa Rica and recovering from the subsequent jetlag along with various jobs needing to be done not least processing the 4,500 photos that I took! Most will go in the trash bin but there are some nice ones and a good way to relive the memories. CR is not a big country and has an incredibly rich fauna and flora. We saw about 450 bird species and I'm still working on the butterfly list. There are said to be about 1,600 known butterfly species there (which is about 8x as many as Cuba) - I'm working on day 7 of the trip at the moment and the list is already up to 95 species although about 25 of those are not yet identified. Twenty, of the total so far, occur in Cuba whilst the others were unknown to me so it's a steep learning curve! I won't put too many CR pictures up here but here are a couple of tasters to be going on with.
