Description and Similar Species: Wingspan 29-34mm. Slightly larger than C. radians. In males the upperside is similar to C. radians f. ammonia but the underside resembles the normal form of C. radians but without the pale radiating lines on the hindwing. Females are similar, but are a little larger than males and have darker hind underwings and less orange on the under forewings.
Range: Endemic to Cuba. Found only to date from Playa Blanca, Baracoa in the east of Cuba and at Playa Maguana 20km along the coast to the north-west.
Status: A newly discovered Skipper first found near Baracoa in 2012 with further specimens found in 2016, 2021 and 2022. Described as new to science in 2024, you can read the paper here.

Larval Foodplants: The tussock grass Uniola virgata - Poaceae.
