Description and Similar Species: Wingspan 30-31mm. Sexes similar though males have narrower more pointed wings. Its habit of often settling on the underside of leaves means that it can more easily be mistaken for a moth rather than a butterfly.
Range: Known only so far from a small area of dry coastal forest on the western shores of Bahía de Jagua, Cienfuegos province.
Status: A very rare Endemic in Cuba and found in less than 2km2 at its single known site.
Nectar Plants: Croton glabellus (Euphorbiaceae), Bourreria succulenta and B. microphylla (Boraginacaeae).
Larval Foodplants: Buxus glomerata.
