Description and Similar Species: Wingspan 36-42mm. Is closely related to Cuban Common Calisto C. herophile but differs in having just two post-median white dots on the underside of the hindwing and blue scaling at the anterior edge of the black dot at the anal angle of the hindwing.
Range: Endemic to Cuba.
Status: Currently known only from a short section in dense shade at the base of one the mogotes at Viñales, Sierra del Rosario, Pinar del Rio although there is also one record from a higher elevation on a nearby mogote. The type specimen was taken further to the south-west in the same mountain range at El Taburete.
Nectar Plants: Stachytarpheta catenensis, Hyptis verticilla and Urena lobata.
Larval Foodplants: Unknown.
