Description and Similar Species: Wingspan 50-60mm. Sexes similar and much paler on both sides than the other two Eunica species and without any purple sheen on the upperside.
Range: Endemic to Cuba but quite possibly extinct as it has not been seen for over 100 years.
Status: It was once widespread being found in several scattered places on the island but has not been seen for over 100 years.
Nectar Plants: Feeds on rotten fruit.
Larval Foodplants: Unknown.
