Description and Similar Species: Wingspan 50-56mm. The most easily identifiable Calisto due to its large size and the large white triangle on the rear margin of the hindwing which is diagnostic.
Range: Endemic to Cuba.
Status: It can be numerous in evergreen and rainforest, and sometimes scrub forest, in the Nipe-Sagua-Baracoa mountains between 250 and 1230m.
Nectar Plants: Unknown.
Larval Foodplants: Unknown but seems to be associated with the climbing grasses Arthrostylidium pinifolia and Chusquea sp..
