Description and Similar Species: Wingspan 20-22mm. Sexually dimorphic. Females have a whitish line across the underside hindwing which is lacking in males. Slightly larger than Nanus Skipperling Oarisma nanus and lacks the pale veins on the under-hindwing of that species. It generally flies a little higher than O. nanus and whilst it sometimes settles both on fine grass stems or on the ground it will also settle on small bushes.
Range: Endemic to Cuba.
Status: Found in only a handful of sites in grassy glades in pine or secondary forests in the east of the island, sometimes flying together with Nanus Skipperling Oarisma nanus.
Nectar Plants: Stachytarpheta jamaicensis, Vernonia cinerea, Emilia sonchifolia, Bidens pilosa.
Larval Foodplants: Unknown grasses.
