It is intended that this Butterflies of Cuba website will contain sufficient information to enable the identification of all the 201 species of butterfly that have been recorded in Cuba. This will be done where possible by using photographs of live adults rather than pinned specimens.

If you have good quality photographs of any species, preferably taken in Cuba, and you are happy for them them to be used here then please do get in touch using the contact form. Photographs of the underside and upperside of both males and females along with aberrations, unusual behaviour and other life stages of these species will be most welcome. Contact me.

And if you are prepared to send me your lists of what you have seen including when and where, then that will help me to build up a picture of the distribution and flight times of the different species which will then be shown here in the texts.
