Description and Similar Species: Wingspan 43-48mm. Sexually dimorphic. Males resemble male Braco Skipper Burca braco with three white sub-apical spots but lack the white 'collar' behind the head of that species.
Range: South-eastern USA to Argentina, and Cuba and Hispaniola.
Status: Widespread and relatively common in open areas, roadsides and woods.
Nectar Plants: Lantana, Melochia, Alysicarpus and Bidens pilosa.
Larval Foodplants: Various legumes (Fabaceae) including Sesbania grandiflora, Indigofera suffruticosa and Gliricidia sepium.
