Description and Similar Species: Wingspan 26-32mm. One tail on each hindwing. Similar in appearance to S. istapa but slightly browner and the inner line on the hindwing has a long 'leg' at right angles. The upperside is brown (darker in the female).
Range: Found only in Florida, Jamaica, Cuba, Hispaniola, Puerto Rico and St. Thomas.
Status: Common throughout the island of Cuba.
Nectar Plants: Stachytarpheta jamaicensis, Bidens pilosa, Lippia alba, Cordia, Antigonon.
Larval Foodplants: Plants in the Family Malvaceae of genera Malvastrum and Malachra.
